Named after a famous Trappist beer, CPL/Orval is an advanced Vector Trapping solution, designed to complement the CPL/Opus RIP.
Orval reads an SVG-encoded vector display list and generates an SVG-encoded vector overlay which, when combined with the original job, provides a fully trapped solution. It retains the incoming Bezier spline information to maintain full fidelity.
An svgtops utility converts the display list and trapping overlay to an industry standard PDF file, or to PostScript level 1, 2 or 3.
